Zainab completed her BA in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Cambridge last year. She subsequently worked as a research assistant at the Cambridge Babylab, supporting a global health study run by the Medical Research Councils of The Gambia and UK. This project used a range of behavioural and neuroimaging methods to explore how malnourishment and a low-resource context affects early cognitive development.

Zainab joined the Hungry Mind Lab as a Research Project Co-ordinator and is particularly interested in the mechanisms by which socio-economic status affects later educational outcomes.
